Introduction

The French Revolution was an event of tremendous importance that has fascinated the world for a number of years. Many books, movies ,and other entertainment media, have been created as a result of this fascination. Most recently, this fascination has led to the creation of Assassin’s Creed Unity, a video game set between the years 1789 and 1794. The game includes people and events that were of importance during the French Revolution such as Robespierre, the execution of Louis XVI, the storming of the Bastille, among others. The purpose of this website is to take an in-depth look at Assassin’s Creed Unity as well as historical documents and images in order to determine how the various political figures and major events of the revolution are portrayed in the game and to determine how accurate the portrayals are.
